Xpressions – Parent Marketing Material

groupcallxpressionslight-approvedBelow is a collection of materials aimed at parents for schools to email, print or otherwise distribute to help promote the availability of Groupcall Xpressions and get parents registered and using the service!

Please note that there are 2 version of the Xpressions service - Core and Enhanced.

  • Core includes messaging functionality.
  • Enhanced adds additional data to the messaging functionality from the MIS to allow parents a full view of their child's school life.
    • Enhanced MIS data includes - Attendance, Timetables, Behaviour, Achievements, School Calendar, and Assessments (NB not all features supported by all MISs - please refer to this page for more information.)

View your child’s information on your mobile phone!

An exciting new service is now available for parents to ensure communication between the school and yourselves is easier and more effective. Groupcall Xpressions is created by the award-winning school communication company Groupcall Limited.

The app is completely free of charge to you and can be installed on your mobile phone or tablet. It currently supports both Apple iOS and Android devices (with Windows mobile to follow) and you’ll be able to see information for your children.

If you have children in different schools and those schools also use Groupcall Xpressions, you will be able to view information on multiple children within the same app.

What do I need to do now?
Please ensure we have your correct mobile number and email address on our school database to ensure you can use the new app. Forms are available from the school office to check and update your details or simply email them to the school. You’ll need to make sure you keep these details up-to-date in future to maintain access to the service.

What happens next?
Groupcall have to set up the system in school. Once that is complete we will let you know how to install the app and login in order to get access to your child’s information.

Once installed and set up you will be able to see some or all of the following information depending on the school’s system:

• Free messages sent by the school delivered directly to the app
• Updates regarding selected partner systems, used by the school such as homework, catering and library systems
• Attendance records and absences*
• Marks and grades*
• Achievement records*
• Behaviour events*
• Timetable*
• School calendar*
• Notification timeline for all of the above.

We have prepared a website for parents to visit that tells them everything they need to know about getting started and help information for use in the future - it's available at parents.groupcall.com.

Parent Flyer (A4)

Use this as an attachment with the above email. You could also print this and put it on notice boards around school.

Parent Flyer x2 (A5)

Print the PDF flyer 2 per page to save paper and display A5 copies around school and/or send home with students to give to parents.

Parent Word Document

We have provided the PDF flyer/email text as a word document to customise as required.

 

School Website Resources

Several schools have added a section to their website with a link to the parent facing website ensuring parents feel happy visiting it knowing the school sent them there.

If you would like to do this, please give the below details to your website designer so that they can match colours and logos etc and include some introductory text.

Emerge for Parents is now called Groupcall Xpressions

Emerge for Parents is now called Groupcall Xpressions

Groupcall Emerge for Parents has changed. You may have already noticed!

Groupcall Emerge for Parents is now called Groupcall Xpressions. Depending on the systems the school uses, Groupcall Xpressions will display information about your child’s progress and events, as well as enable you to receive free messages sent by the school. You will still be able to access the same information you have always done.

The main difference you will notice is the Xpressions Timeline showing messages and notification for a variety of different events and various sources, giving you a single app to view everything your child is doing at school (please see below).

To continue using these features you will need to update the Groupcall Emerge for Parents app on your iOS or Android device when prompted. When
you do, the app will now be called Groupcall Xpressions and once upgraded you will be able to continue using the service without interruption.

You can continue to log in using the same username and password you created previously and later this year you will be able to log in using your email address
and mobile phone number, meaning you have one less username/password to remember! We’ll let you know when this is available to you.
