XporterOnDemand is a service that securely provides school data from your MIS to software partners to automatically populate their solutions with your data.
It puts you in control of your data and allows you to see exactly what information your software providers are requesting you to share with them.
Groupcall has no access to your data and all personal and potentially sensitive data is encrypted to industry standards at all times.
Registering for XporterOnDemand
The first step is to register your school with the XporterOnDemand service; this will provide you with an account that you can use to manage the access partners have to your data.
There are two ways that you will arrive the registration site:
- Most Likely:
- Following a link from your partner, either from their website, or via email.
You will arrive at our login screen, if you don’t have an account, click “No account? Sign your school up for free now!”
If you already have an ESTAB account, then you can skip to the Approving Access to Data section.
Registering a School
When you arrive at https://manage.groupcall.com/XodRegister/School you will be shown a search wizard to help you find the correct details for your school. The search uses the information currently stored in EduBase to locate the correct school.
There are three options that you can use to find your school – you only need to use one of these:
- School Postcode
- 7 Character LA / DfE Number
- School URN
- Enter one of these details and click on the 'Search' button.
- We will find all matching schools and display them in a list.
- Simply pick the correct school from the list and click on the 'Next' button.
Entering Your Details
The registration process will now ask for contact details for the main administrative user.
This user will be the person who has main access to the Management Site and will have permission to consent sharing data with partners.
We need to capture:
- Your name
- Your email address (For verification and notifications)
- Your mobile number (For self-service password resets and contact for support)
Once you have entered your details, click on the 'Signup' button.
We will send you an email that contains a link to verify your email address is valid.
Click this link and you will be sent back to the signup process where you can complete your registration by clicking on the 'Signup' button again.
Thank you for registering!
You have now registered your school for XporterOnDemand and you can proceed to download and install Xporter or start a remote session with our support team who will help you!
Important: Take a note of the Username and Password provided, you will need this for the installation and to agree to share data with your software provider.
To make sure that your registration was genuine, a member of the Groupcall team will give your school a call using the main reception desk number that is listed on EduBase. This should happen within two working days.
Once you are verified, you will be able to share data with your partner by following their data sharing link and signing in with your account that was created during registration.
Approving Access to Data
After following the data consent / sharing link from your software provider, you will arrive at our login screen. You can use the account you created when you registered your school.
From the login screen, enter your ESTAB- username and click on the 'Next' button.
Enter your password and click on the 'Login' button
We will show you a summary of the data that the software provider is requesting.
There is a link to the software provider’s Data Sharing Agreement.
Tick the consent boxes to confirm you agree to share data with this software provider.
To inform the software provider of your agreement to share data, click on the 'Accept' button.
Clicking accept will securely send a secret key to your software provider to allow them to access the data that is laid out on the Data Sharing Consent page.
You are now all setup with XporterOnDemand!
For any future software providers using XporterOnDemand, you will simply need to follow their data sharing link and agree to their request.
